Immigrating to Oman
Your employment visa is valid for entry to Oman for up to six months from the date of its issuance. This type of visa is valid for a maximum stay period of two years only from the date when you first set foot on Oman and which should be stated on your passport stamp. It could be renewed for similar periods if your work dictates it and it allows multiple air entries into the country.
Aside from meeting the requirements and attaching the needed documents on your application for employment visa in Oman, there are also other things that you should take note of. One of these is getting a certified release letter from your previous sponsor if you have worked in Oman before and have not been away for two years. It should be stated in the letter that your sponsor does not object to your working with another sponsor. This cancels the requirement that an employee must stay away from Oman for two years before returning to work for another employer or sponsor.
If you are a Sudanese or a Filipino, then you will need special employment permits to be able to work in Oman. Your working contract should be authorized by your respective governments represented by the specific embassies in the country and by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
