Polish family emigrate to Plymouth after seeing images on Google Street View

A Polish family has relocated to Plymouth after being impressed with the pictures they saw on Google Street View.

Piotr Ladan and his family were preparing to move to the UK but were unsure of the exact location until they used Google’s images to choose a city. The family viewed pictures of Plymouth’s Armada Way and The Hoe - as well as nearby Dartmoor - which ultimately made them choose the Devon city.

Piotr said that they saw Dartmoor and realised Plymouth could be the perfect location for them as they enjoyed going walking in the hills, explaining that the mixture of countryside and coast brought them to the conclusion that the area was ideal for them.

The family, originally from the Polish capital Warsaw, knew they would have to get used to a completely new way of life in the West Country, but Piotr noted that it offered a higher standard of living and better salaries than in his homeland.

He went on to say that the main difference between his old and new homes is the nature being in such close proximity, which is ideal for the family because of their love of the great outdoors.

And another bonus for Piotr is that there is a large university, which he said was good because it meant he could get to meet many new people from different backgrounds.
